Episode Details:
Why didn't the international community intervene in the genocide in Darfur? Even though the world said "never again!" after the mass murders in Rwanda and the atrocities in Srebrenica, a brutal campaign of terror and destruction--supported by the government of Sudan --left more than 200,000 dead, 2.5 million homeless, and hundreds of thousands of women repeatedly raped in a long-neglected region in western Sudan. Frontline asks why the international community and the United Nations once again failed to stop the mass slaughter. Travel with actress and UNICEF goodwill ambassador Mia Farrow to the refugee camps in eastern Chad as she seeks to raise awareness of the unfolding atrocities and understand why genocide continues to happen.
